Out’n’About Nipper Wagon featured by HuffPost Parents as a festival and beach day essential for families with kids.

HuffPost Has Named Our Nipper Wagon a Festival and Beach Day Essential

There's a particular kind of family day out where everyone wants to be carried, no one wants to walk, and someone (always you) ends up juggling bags, snacks and a buggy that's suddenly got the wrong number of seats.

That's exactly the reality HuffPost UK Parents Editor Natasha Hinde tapped into in a new piece titled “This Trolley Is A Festival And Beach Day Essential If You're Taking Kids”, which features the Out n About Nipper Wagon.

We're chuffed but not surprised. Here's what HuffPost had to say, and why the Nipper Wagon keeps winning over busy families.

Why HuffPost picked the Nipper Wagon

The article makes the case that wagons are simply more fun than pushchairs for older kids, and far easier on parents who've been carting little ones around all day. The Nipper Wagon was highlighted as the wagon that handles real life, naming fields, festivals, theme parks, shopping centres, playgrounds and beaches as exactly the places it earns its keep.

The piece called out the 12-inch rear and 10-inch front air-filled tyres for handling bumpy terrain, the wide newborn-to-seven age range, and the cup holder and rain cover that come included. It also pointed to how easily it folds away into the boot of the car when the day is done.

If you're heading to Glastonbury or a similar festival, HuffPost noted you can pop your bags or camping equipment in alongside the kids, so there's less to carry.

A wagon with seats, and room for the whole crew

What makes the Nipper Wagon stand out is that it's a proper wagon pram. It's as wide as a standard four-wheel pushchair (just 64cm), but inside it carries a whole lot more.

You get two padded seats with five-point harnesses as standard. Add the optional 4-Seat Accessory and it becomes a 4 seater wagon, perfect for childminders, big families, or that weekend trip where your kids want to bring a friend along.

As a four seater wagon, it carries the whole crew without breaking your back. And when the seats come out, the lay-flat floor turns into a picnic spot, a nap zone, or somewhere to dump festival kit on the walk from the car park.

That versatility was the standout in one of the parent reviews quoted in the HuffPost piece: “Love this wagon – so easy to move even with older kids in. Great for shopping too! Fits so much in. Great for childminding too.”

Built for festivals, fields and family days out

Festival season is exactly what the Nipper Wagon was made for. With fewer kids onboard, there's room for bags, blankets and camping gear, which is handy if you're heading to, Latitude or your local fête this summer

The air-filled tyres make light work of grass, gravel and uneven ground. The push-and-pull design gives you control whichever way the path is throwing at you.

Day-to-day, it works just as well. Beach days, supermarket runs, woodland walks, school pick-ups. Anywhere a standard pushchair starts to feel a bit limiting, the Nipper Wagon has your back.

One parent featured in the HuffPost piece took their Nipper Wagon all the way to Australia, used it off-road on beach trips, and said airlines treated it as a pushchair, so it doubled as luggage transport at the airport. Two birds, one wagon.

Why families are choosing a wagon over a pushchair

For families with more than one little one, a wagon with seats just makes life easier. Two (or four) kids ride together, chat together, share snacks, and you can pile gear in around them without a separate basket battle.

It's not the right shout for every family. A three-wheeled all-terrain pushchair is still the better pick for jogging or solo countryside walks. But for the festival, beach and big-day-out kind of weekends, the Nipper Wagon is the all-rounder lots of families have been waiting for.

As one parent put it in the HuffPost piece: “My two boys love it!! It's already making our family outings so much easier and more fun. Highly recommend!”

Give your biceps a break

That last line is from the HuffPost piece, not us. And it's spot on.

What we loved most about the feature is the way it got to the heart of why parents pick a wagon. It's not about fancy extras. It's about tired children, tired parents, too much to carry, and days out that should feel fun instead of stressful.

The article was also honest about the trade-off, noting that the Nipper Wagon can be heavy to push when it's loaded up with kids and belongings. Fair point. That's exactly why we built it to pull as well as push.

The Pull Rope comes included, so you can sling it over your shoulder and tow the whole crew behind you, which is a lot easier on your back than pushing a fully loaded wagon.

And if you want even more control, the Pull Bar accessory clips on for proper steering when you're towing. As the article put it, it can't be harder than carrying the kids and the bags around yourself.

The Nipper Wagon gives little ones somewhere to rest, gives you more storage, and gives the whole family a better shot at enjoying the day without anyone ending up with aching arms before lunchtime.
